Needle Felted Butterflies

A work conversation about radical hope left me thinking about small projects that could just bring a bit more hope and joy into the world.  A quick search of animals that represented hope led me to butterflies, so I decided to start making needle felted butterflies.

It's one of the faster projects I've taken on, the first one took about an hour and a half, and some of the others took less time (it depends on the style of the wings).

Here are some of the butterflies I've made so far.

Three needle felted butterflies and pink wool

The pink used on the third butterfly is from Spinning Tales Fiber, which has amazing wool and yarns!  The ones below were also made with their wool.
