Welcome to Whimsy Station
Sara Carrero is the Creator of Whimsy and Wonder at Whimsy Station, where she is trying to bring a bit more magic into the world, one craft at a time.
Sara has been crafting in various forms since childhood. In the years since, many things haven’t changed, like her love of creating tiny worlds. Five-year-old Sara often created whole scenes on a tiny Post-It note, while adult Sara constructs magical libraries in pocket watch cases. At this point her projects range from making polymer clay creations, to drawing, sewing, and jewelry making (mostly painting on glass cabochons for pendants), to creating miniature worlds, 3D printing, and laser engraving. So far…
She always has multiple craft projects in progress, but these days Sara’s focus is on polymer clay—sculpting fantastical creatures, flowers, trinket boxes, pendants, and more. She hopes her work brings people joy and reminds them that there is wonder in the world.
When she is not chaos crafting, Sara is usually found playing with one of her three dogs or taking photos of one of her rose bushes.
